With full-center renovations planned for the very near future, we are proud to be Rehabbing Care™ at Lawrence Rehabilitation Hospital!
We’ve been in operation for more than 50 years, and offer more than five decades of specialization in the most effective approaches to physical rehabilitation. With experience that’s second to none, we’re committed to the health journey of each patient through treatments such as physical and occupational therapy, speech therapy, therapeutic recreation, and social and psychological services. Our highly skilled and compassionate staff are dedicated to providing healthcare that improves the lives of our patients and grants them the independence they deserve.
Our care extends well past basic physical rehabilitation, with the addition of our specialized services for brain injury, stroke, neurological disorders, orthopedics, Parkinson’s, amputees, vestibular and rehabilitation. Each and every patient is unique in their needs and their stage in the rehabilitation journey, and we ensure that the care we provide reflects that.
A team of skilled staff including attending physicians, specialists, internal medicine physicians, and experienced physiatrists equips us to serve medically complex patients and those who require cardiac or post-operative management. Patients and their families benefit from our team approach to rehabilitation, leveraging the expertise of our various staff members and providing our patients with maximum independence and positive outcomes.
I went to Lawrence after a fall at home. I broke my hip and had to have extensive surgery. I was not strong enough to return to my home and after many conversations with family and friends, I chose Lawrence. I am so happy I did because everyone was so nice and caring. The physical therapist had me back on my feet in no time. There were days I didn’t feel like getting out of bed but with the help and kindness of the staff, they really motivated me to push myself. I can’t believe I get to go home tomorrow and I can’t wait to make my family dinner again!
I came to Lawrence Rehab from Capital after a fall that caused a brain bleed. The staff at Lawrence Rehab were nice, helpful, and upbeat. They were also very attentive to my needs. The therapy staff was excellent and worked me hard. They even got me outside on a beautiful day. I especially enjoyed working with my physical therapist, Brianna and my occupational therapist, Bridget. I would give Lawrence Rehab 5 Stars!
My stay here at Lawrence has been wonderful! Tommy was the first person to greet me when I arrived and he gave me such a warm welcome. The rest of the staff has been great too, from the nurses to the therapy staff… they all work so hard! I was pretty sick in the hospital and when I arrived at Lawrence, I was very weak. It took me some time but I am finally feeling better and am excited to get home to see my wife and my dogs. I would 100% recommend my family and friends to Lawrence if they ever need rehab.
